I'd like to verify this bracket from MS's rear brake kit is on the correct side before I press on the axle bearings. Lincoln Versailles rear, looking at passenger side. Thanks.

I just bought the Cobra Brackets and they were at the same angle.

Sorry that is a little confusing. THe brackets to the back were the correct angle. I was trying out the different angles when I took this picture.

Since the bolt pattern on the Versailles rear end is already tilted, there is a special set of holes for that particular rear end. The 1/2" holes that would form a rectangle with the sides parallel to the long sides of the brackets should be used. So, from your picture of the GT bracket, rotate is counterclockwise until the next set of holes lines up. Be sure the caliper will not interfere with the leaf spring. It should not be close to the spring. This is a cobra caliper on a Versailles rear end, but yours should be in this position.

Thanks. I'll rotate it CCW until the next holes line up. Just out of curiosity, is this position necessary so that the emergency brake cable lines up correctly?

Unfortunately, the e brake cables on the GT calipers point down and are bot in a good position without a cable routing under the axle. That is why I prefer the cobra conversion, where the cables point forward..

I just learned from MS in a PM that the primary consideration for orienting the caliper (this is why I'm not running a board like this), is that the bleeder screw be the uppermost part of the caliper. Otherwise, the brakes cannot be bled correctly. Consideration of e-brake routing is a secondary consideration. Just thought I'd share.
