I'm attaching some pictures of my '65 that I am almost done with. I need to get it buffed out and put bumpers on plus some of the emblems. Motor is Ford Racing 475 hp Z392 motor. Ford Top loader with Hurst shifter, 9 inch Versaille rear with 3:50 Traction Lok and MS Cobra rear discs. Front suspension is RRS McPherson strut with 11 inch front discs and Randall's rack and pinion power steering. Hope pictures come through.

Jerry, I have been wondering if I could ever see pics of your car. I love the black on black, and 475hp! Beastly!! Great job!

Thanks, I forgot to mention I am putting in the Pony door panels, but I am having problems getting the windows adjusted first to suit me. What I have done to adjust them has been a real nightmare. Jerry

Looking really nice! Thanks for sharing the pics...
I have a question regarding your exhaust..........the stainless band clamps....were they part of a kit or, did you purchase separately? Any words of wisdom regarding the exhaust install?? I want, and will use, that style clamp on my exhaust which will go in shortly....
Thanks...

Those came in a kit I bought from Magna-Flow for '65, '66 Mustangs and it is 2 1/2 inch pipes. The pipes fit great. I installed everything myself from the headers back and then took the car to a friend that has a muffler shop. He then bent the pipes from the headers back to the rest of the exhaust. The kit came with the bell mouth fittings that were put on my headers. This allowed me some "wiggle room" to clear everything. I did have to grind some clearance on the passenger side frame rail to clear the header, but the exhaust system fit great. I was really dreading it, but that kit worked real good. Hope this helps. Jerry
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
