Hello all, Robby 13 here. 67 fastback 390 got.
Just picked the car up from body and paint, went to go into the trunk and it usually pops right up.
This time it actually was fighting to go the other way, pushing down. For some reason they took the torsion bar spring and installed it backwards. As you probably know 67 had the one year spring very similar to 65,66. My question is I don't remember which way to twist the passenger side end of the spring-do I twist it over and forward and then out it in the hole, or twist it under and back towards the tail of the car and then the hole. I don't want to use the 68 spring set up because it is specific to this car. I installed it years ago and can't remember, but I do remember it slipping loose a few times and making a heck of a racket.
Any help lease? Thanx.
