Thanks for the advice DC. I may need to rethink removing the bushings on the cradle. May shorten them and to get the lower stance and additional tire clearance moving the front mounts to the inside of the frame but weld the bushing ends back. It will never be my primary car but I will want to take it out on the weekend some.

6Sally6 I currently have the heads taken apart to clean the castings some and will then need to weld up some headers before I can get the engine to the dyno for tuning. I'm shooting for end of June. I'll be sure to post some results;)

Hi everyone. I'm looking for tips/advice from people who have completed this swap. I bought a 2003 irs a few days ago and am starting to plan this out. I like the idea of the prefab bracket kit out there but not willing to pay an additional $3000 for just brackets and coil overs. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. I have read some where to raise the irs cradle up into the frame people have cut off the stock rubber mounts and welded directly to brackets that bolt to the frame rails.  I have read about someone using QA1 DS303 coil overs with qa1 9-350 springs. Anyone know if 350# springs would be enough?

Little back ground on my mustang. Mustang 2 ifs and just added 2011 gt brakes to the front. Motor is a 347 with Kaase p38 heads. Looking to set car up for road racing with some weekend driving.

Thanks
