I'm still on the fence to go with a 2 or 4 post. both have their advantages. my biggest dilemma is not just my mustang but also my truck, F250. of course in not in a position to pull the trigger on one yet

Depending on the year of that F250 the 4 post may be a better option. The way the frame kicks up in the rear and the location for the front lift arm due to the way the suspension is on mine make picking it up with a 2 post tricky. Definitely get one of those screw jack stands to help it balance. It really has to be perfectly positioned on the lift within a couple inches or it starts to nose forward as you lift it.

Thanks for the info TKO, I'm thinking a 4 post may be the better option for me. ensuring that it is big enough for my f250.

I have both a four post and a two post and if I was only going to have one it would be a four post. Much more versatile and safe. We had a small earthquake around here a few years ago and the car on the two post came down, the pour post just wiggled a little. Luckily I had my hydraulic lift table under the car with some tools on it and that was the corner that dropped first. table caught the car before major damage.

Well here is another update on my newly remodeled garage. We now have a insulated ceiling to hang things on. Still waiting on the garage door hi lift kit, FEDX lost it between two cities both within 10 miles of my house.

In your above picture posted on 8/15, there's a tiny steering wheel hanging next to your air hose reel.
Ugh! That reminds me of amateur street drag racing days 40 years ago. (well, ok, it was more years than that)
What size is that? and please tell me you never put that on your fine Mustang.

OK we got pics of the new lift in the newly remodeled garage. First up is the stang while the old door header was still up behind it. Then a pick of the wifes car. that we first tested with just in case. Another pick of the mustang in park mode and has plenty of clearance everywhere. And we lifted a 65 lonnnng box and made it into service height of 67" to the bottom of ramps and has room to go up one more click. Tomorrow I will finish the drywall and get the electrical buttoned up so I can install the new LED lights. Lots to do yet so little time to do. Sure am glad the roof is done. Hoist will cost me money as I found the muffler is going on the wifes car and it has a oil leak. LOL
oh we fixed the light on the opener too.

I mounted an air hose reel on the rack leg closest to the garage door. Also an electrical plug reel. Comes in real handy.

I agree, already have them both, air at each end on the wall and my power reel will be relocated to the center. I am working on LED lighting and have a good plan. Will up date on it later.
