RTM  - glad your on the road to recovery however, don't push the continued PT too fast.
After my third shoulder surgery in 2019, same shoulder, my advice is do not go too quickly with increasing PT routine, reps & weights, it can lead to damaging the repair.
Good luck.

Thanks and I couldn't agree more.  I've actually surprised myself and have been following the doctors orders pretty well, better than I use to!!!!  I do tend to push to hard and it's my competitive nature.  But I think this injury kind of made me think about it more than I have with other injuries.   My therapist is big into yoga and a lot of my PT was yoga based.  I since I have signed up with the hospital gym and they have yoga classes.  I attended my first two classes last week and feel it's perfect for my shoulder and me overall.  The yoga instructor is aware of my injury and will tell me not to do certain things.

While I started to lift weights again, I significantly reduced the weight, sounds like I should try Yoga.

Re: I'm out of commission for a while

After a couple of days of yoga, you'll be wishing you were only lifting weights. Yoga had me sweating and exhausted like nothing else. True story.

Re: I'm out of commission for a while

I feel the yoga is a much better all around exercise than just lifting or riding my bicycle.  I feel it works on stretching and strengthening other muscles I don't really train.

On a side note the project may be on hold again.   me and my son did work on it today and it felt great to be out there again.   I won't share the anything yet as we just found out this morning and its in regards to my wife.  Prayers are welcome.  It's been a rough year and its not over for us yet.

Re: I'm out of commission for a while

Yoga is more of an isometric exercise than weight lifting, which is mostly anaerobic.  It puts much less stress on your joints and soft tissue.  Its great exercise in its own right, but I look at it as prehab, essentially preventing injuries before they happen.  I find it complementary to weight training, which tends to stiffen everything up, because yoga by contrast tends to loosen everything back up.  Another thing you can do to combat soreness is take some l-argenine and eat pineapple.  L-argenine is an amino that directly contributes to nitirc oxide production, which helps with bloodflow to get oxygen in and waste products out of your muscles.  Pineapple has a lot of bromelaine in it, which is great for reducing inflammation, which also contributes to soreness.

Prayers and best wishes for your wife RTM.
