Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

Unfortunately this clashes with a retirement ceremony I must attend. Close friend is retiring Chief Master Sergent after 28 years service in USAF.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

Concerning the mini bash and show, is anyone concerned about the increase in covid cases?   It sound like it is getting alot worse than it has been.

What are your feelings in attending?

Plan on going out to eat together Saturday evening.
Get in touch once you get there since I do not necessarily know who all is going and might not have contact info for everybody. Y’all have my number.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

I thought we would go to my old favorite Casa Rodriguez, but reviews of late are not really positive.
There are lots of restaurants, so we should be able to figure something out.

I should hit town 2-3:00pm Saturday.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

I'm bringing the dirtiest  Mustang.  I haven't washed it in about 2 months and it is covered in pollen.

It should fit right in.  Mine still has Kansas dirt on it from the rainstorm we drove through up there.  Calling it PATINA, it has been on there so long.  Should call it a trophy for being able to drive it all those miles.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

Here we are at the mini bash trying to decide whether to go to a tavern and watch the Cowboys game, or go wash the highway rainy day dirt off our cars. You will never guess which option was chosen.

Good pic of Don and Steve G.  Did anyone else make it?  Hope you can get some pix today...before you wash the cars.

I'm curious if anyone took a camera to the mini Bash.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

I took one pic of a car that resembled Bullet’s coupe, vaguely. Don took a pic of me and my friend, Bill, who I have known since first grade.  He drove his 32 coupe. As I recall, his older brother had a 32 coupe when we were in junior high. I learned to weld using his brother’s welder while he was at work.  I had lost contact with him for over 40 years and met again at a car show a mile from my house.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

Yes, thanks for a good story Steve.  With different timing  I think there's a better than average chance you would have had at least one, and probably two more there.  One from Bville and one from Motown.

Re: Mini bash, anyone? Bryan, Tx. January 9

Sorry, but I am more into enjoying the show in person and talking to everyone, so I don’t bother getting the camera out.

Best advice I can give to those who want to see what goes on at a show or bash:  GET IN YOUR OLD FORD AND DRIVE THERE.
