Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

For 351W.  Currently have a reverse rotation pump.  With the EPS steering we didn’t need the power steering pump anymore.  Thanks!

Re: Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

That looks like a truck alternator/tensioner mount. If so, be sure to check the tensioner bolt and its associated threads in the bracket. The truck stuff is notorious for that bolt either breaking or coming loose and messing up the threads or both!

Also meant to ask, what is the sensor in the tstat housing? I am sure you know, but that is on the otherside of the t-stat and will not read correctly until the tstat opens??

Steve69 - you may want to check out LMR, they have info on serpentine belts arrangements that may help.

Just curious.......what all will be driven off the crank pulley ?
Eliminating any more non-essentials things?! (smog pump...AC...ect.)

Re: Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

I meant to ask, would you consider an option to use an earlier style timing cover and standard rotation water pump? Might make things a bit easier.

Re: Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

Can you get a P/S or A/c delete pulley for whatever the original application was?
Or with a water pump and timing cover change, and probably a conversion balancer. It would need a 3G with 12 and 6 mounting ears.

Re: Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

To simplify things, a 69 alternator bracket and a normal rotation water pump would be my choice.  A single v-belt would do the job, or same setup using multi-groove pulleys for a six groove serpentine belt would be simple and effective.

Also, if anyone has an extra foxbody power steering pump snd mounting brackrt laying around, I need one for a fox serpentine stdtem I have, but is missing the pump.

Its my sons 68.  It’s either for temp sensor or electric fans.

I have a new 1994 F150 pump that looks a lot like a fox body pump I’ll give you a deal on.   I think if we switch to a regular rotation water pump and a late 80s crown vic serpentine water pump pulley what we have here might work.  It’s a 1994 truck front dress.

Re: Any suggestions for alternator only brackets for serpentine belt

We ended up finding a crown vic water pump pulley with a standard rotation water pump.  For some reason no pic icon to add pics.

Very nice.  I might consider making this swap and would like some more details.
Is this whole serpentine setup from a Crown Vic?
Any particular years?
Thank you for any info you can provide.
