    led conversion

    I was going to put my side lights in the front fender tdday, but i tried one of them and i didn't work. Looked inside and the bulb and the holder were pretty rusty. Had some small led clearance lights, so i thought what the heck.
    These lights are not in the best condition, so i wouldn't be out much if it didn't work. Took the cutoff wheel to the back and cut off the end. Drilled the old light holder out and made the hole 3/4". Couldn't get the grommet in, so i just put it in backward. Slid the light in and fits right up. oaks christian high school

    Did my reverse lights last winter with these. Took a soup can lid, drilled 2 holes and cut it to fit.

    Making old things work like new ones, a little effort goes a long way, nice work.

    Great job, Now on to the turn signals in the dash lights!!!!

    Check out Super Bright LEDs, they have many replacement LED bulbs that fit our vintage vehicles.  If you do not see a replacement LED listed for your application, call them, they may have an alternate.  This is how I got the rear seat LEDs for my 65 Fastback. 
    I replaced the under dash lights with their black "Miniature Oval LED Accent Light".
    Very pleased with these LEDs.

    I used the clear, but i have some amber ones ready to go in. Nice thing is all i have to do is slide these out and put the new ones in.

    I purchased both clear and green oval miniatures.  As my car is dark green, I installed the green version.  I thought it looked OK; my wife, not so much.

    I searched around and for the best bang for the buck went with E-Bay #AMS 056101 bulbs in green, white, amber, and blue. Worked perfect in my 67 dash gauge conversion. Direct plug ins. All colors for I think 10 bucks or there a bouts.
