Good for 1 more year!

Well, the candels are blown out and the cakes half eaten. I made it to the big 70 year mark with no accidents and no tickets  Not that I didn't deserve a bunch. I went out to the garage and looked at my poor fastback sitting on all 4 jack stands and picture poor ol'e Betsy some day rolling on the streets again. If not with me then perhaps my grandson will enjoy her. Paints done along with engine, trans, and rear end just need some of that pizz and vinegar I used to have in my younger years. When I came on this great forum I thought I was one of the younger guys here now I'm one of the oldest I think. Time travels fast .In all the many years that I have been here, I have yet to see not one bad apple in this bunch. With all the garbage going on in the world, At least there is one place you can go to talk to darn good people. Thanks again for this great forum Steve!

Re: Good for 1 more year!

Whaaat? 70? Seven zero? Heck, chatting with you I figured you might be 40. Well happy birthday then.

You mean no tickets or accidents on your birthday? Cuz no accidents or tickets your entire life is nuts. Kinda like you weren't trying hard enough. That's gotta be a record somewhere, especially in California. Kudos.

Re: Good for 1 more year!

Ok, when is the mini bash at Quicksilver’s going to be?  We could all get that car back on the road in three days.  Unless Cristy Lee shows up, then it might take us five…

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Good for 1 more year!

Happy birthday Randy!

On my way to the Bash this year, Allen and I replaced the poly bushings on coil overs.
It rides much better too.

BTW, you should put that coffee table back in your Mustang. 😁

Happy Birthday.  It only gets more difficult as we age, get to it, finish and enjoy the ride!

Re: Good for 1 more year!

Well, Happy Birthday, ya young whippersnapper! I turned 74 on Saturday and I spent some time today under the 65 convertible changing the pan gasket on the C4. I installed a LubeLocker reusable gasket, almost guaranteed not to leak. (we'll see.....) If I can do it, you can do it! Just remember "everything you do, is one less thing to do before you're done". Just keep plugging away at it - there is no schedule but whatever one you set.

Well happy birthday bud. My 70th comes in January and like you realize that there are more days behind than there are ahead. (big sigh).

Happy birthday

I’m a little younger and wish I had my old energy from my youth.
