65/66 adjustable strut rods

Want to thank RPM, RCodePaul, and Jeff at local machine shop on my strut rod project.

Rosehill Performance inspired me to give it a shot.

The rabbit hole was not as deep with their help and support.

Or was it just the beginning?😂

Re: 65/66 adjustable strut rods

Looks really good.  That looks like the same steering clevis I used after my initial build with the cast clevis

Re: 65/66 adjustable strut rods

Wish I had known you wanted some. I plan to remove my Buzek Bars and replace with stock type Moog parts on my 66. They have been on the car since around 2004.  (With no problems other than the clunking)

Re: 65/66 adjustable strut rods

Nice job on the clevises, who made them, what grade of steel?
Much more impressive than the cast/forged items!

Daze, you deserve an honorable mention as well.

I did read your initial write up years ago…did not see the updated clevis.

I used the same seller for the clevis, just checked your website.

That is okay, this gave me an excuse to go into the freezing garage and have some fun.

I enjoy modifying stuff and know that I did it myself.

Rosehill Performance was my backup plan.

So from whom did you get the clevis?

Re: 65/66 adjustable strut rods

Nos681, did you thread the strut rods yourself or did you take them to a machine shop?

Yeees...butt...I saw what you were doing, but I'm too lazy to do a two minute search. But I'll post a couple times here which takes much more time.

A local engine machine shop turned the strut rods down for me.

And he even threaded them on his own accord.

I helped him out last year by repairing his reversible rotation basket in his bead blast cabinet.

He had been manually rotating it for a while, even with engine blocks in it.😂

I also enlarged the hole in clevis from 4/8” to 5/8”.
