Mustang replacement??

Should I sell a Mustang to get this??

66 F100, Very clean, NO rust.
I'd get rid of it's 352.

Re: Mustang replacement??

What does your brain, not your heart, tell you? Only you can make the decision of what you should do.

If you can make the deal with no regrets of replacing one vehicle for another then it might be a good prospect.

The F-100s are simple vehicles to work on and the engine bay can handle anything from a stock 240 inline six to a 500+ cubic inch 460 stroker.

Personally, I'm more partial to the '67-'72 models but, that's just my preference. '67-'72 models are more roomy in the cab. Any suspension/brake upgrades from the '67-'79 models will also work on the '65/'66 F-100s.

Re: Mustang replacement??

That looks just like mine used to look!  It was all white when I brought it home.  I sure did enjoy driving it for the short time I had it when it was running.  I would hate to see Miss May or the vert go away.  The fastback, because it is YOU,and the vert for reasons you already know.

From the looks of the location in the picture, it appears this may already be a done deal!  Hey, with a new garage in the works, you have room for an extra vehicle now anyway.  Why not keep them all.

Speaking of Crown Vic front suspension conversions, did you guys hear of the Crtown Vic recall Ford issued because of some part of the new front steering seizing up?  I wonder if I drive mine into the dealership, if they will honor the recall on a 66 F-100?

You won't regret owning a pickup like that.  Maybe we could have a truck-in some day for all the Mustangers who also happen to own old trucks.

Re: Mustang replacement??

I love the truck , but have commitment issues and and would have trouble parting with the Mustang. Just ask my wife. I would just add it to the collection.

Re: Mustang replacement??

That is a beautiful truck, 66 is one of my fave years. I wouldn't sell a 'Stang to buy it but I'd buy if I could. And if it were mine, I wouldn't change a thing other'n making sure it had good brakes. Some things should just be what they are IMHO.
