Re: SS exhaust pipe from Amazon???

Decided not to buy it.  It wasn't $100 for everything.

Just say I wasn't very happy. My buddy did say he can be difficult to deal with.  But what bother me the most was his replay about sorry you had to drive all that way.  It was said in a manner that I did not take very well so at that point he could have cut his price in half and I would have still walked away.

It wasn't a wasted trip because I needed to visit my buddy and see the corvette his dad had given him.  It's an early 50 something vetted with factory fuel injection.    I also had to look at his 460 truck which wasn't running right and I'm pretty sure he has at least one lifter failing.   Had lunch with him and got caught up on things.

I did come home to some great news.  Off topic.  I had been looking for more than three years for a high end GT carbon fiber mountain bike frame and it had to be a hardtail, no rear suspension.  I finally found one on eBay back in Oct and purchased it on Oct 13th.  After the tracking number stopped updating a week or so after that it appeared it had been lost in transit.   I filed for a claim and told the seller I was.  He had claimed it could take 8-10 weeks to get.  I didn't want to take a chance on missing my window to file a claim so I filed.  Got my refund and weekly I would look to see if the tracking would update and it never did.  It showed up today. Now I need to figure out what to do about it. Did the seller get insurance, if so I do pay to the insurance or the buyer.

The seller has reached out but I'm trying to figure out the safest way to pay.  I don't want the seller to get the funds via PayPal and then go back to eBay and try to obtain the money again.   Maybe I'm being over skeptical about it.   Thinking an invoice references the eBay listing should cover me.

Good thing I didn't go buy that used Tig welder.  I didn't see this frame coming back up.  lol

Completely agree.  I've found in these situations you often create a ton of confusion trying to so the right thing.

If you received payment regarding your eBay claim, I would think the seller received payment from eBay or whatever shipping insurance he had.  I believe both buyer and seller are made ‘whole’ in these situations.  Maybe check with eBay if the seller has been compensated for the ‘missing’ shipment.
Just saying.
