Anybody else buying up all the expensive foreign made parts you will be needing soon? I got a 331 stroker kit with pistons, crank, rods, bearings and rings and a Shelby steering wheel and horn button the the 65 convertible. I figure the next batch of this stuff coming from our favorite parts manufacturing country abroad will be doubling in price soon. Since I am going to eventually purchase the stuff, I am hoping that buying it now will avoid the tariffs, which could affect the future price substantially.
Anyone else doing this?

Luckily I don't need much now.

I am getting my Shelby fiberglass parts up....Mostly was probably made in USA

I’m not considering any significant purchases but agree if one is considering, it would be good to purchase now.

Those days are over for me, cutting back on a lot of things as well, just staying with the necessities.

Well, I went ahead and bought the cast steel anvil from HarborFreight. I don't have a place I want to put it but I have wanted a good anvil for years now. I can't recall exactly what they are right now but I've also bought a few other items I have wanted but didn't need badly at the moment.

Not a bad idea - nothing ever seems to go down in price. Curious - is the one you bought the Scott Drake reproduction? If so I'd be interested to know about the quality. Aside from that, I'm with Rudi

I ordered a set of HiPO manifolds from Kentucky Mustang, a set of stock exhaust manifolds from Maryland Mustang, and a set of 1963 Galaxie shorty headers from an upstart company called Flashark. All three sets came today. On the same truck.
The Flashark headers are cheapies, but people are raving about them. Pretty much the first company to make and offer headers for Galaxies WITH a small block.
Better to have them and not use them, than need them if they become 3x price.

Good to hear. Thanks for the feedback. I finally searched that part and to my astonishment it looks a lot like the unit that came on my car. I've refinished the spokes and the wood (and put a cheap-o lace-on cover over it because it was a little slippery in the Texas summers. I had an issue with the horn contacts - the copper plating on the phenolic circuit board that the turn signal contacts rode against had worn through some places and the horn didn't always function. It was a hassle to find a replacement for that but I finally got one from Lecarra for about $11 (in 2017 dollars). Maybe that will be of some help ...

That is the smaller diameter version with slotted spokes instead of four holes per spoke. I considered that version but opted for the one like the Shelby came with.
Follow-up on my purchases:
Right after I received my expensive steering wheel and Shelby ten spoke wheels, purchased before needed to avoid tariffs, Scott Drake decided to put all their stuff on sale 20% off.
DOH!!!
Guess who lost their butt on those purchases.
