It's alive and my hydro boost brakes are perfect. That was my biggest fear was not getting the 03 cobra hydroboost setup to work correctly. Our son arrives tomorrow from India. He will be very excited.

The front valance is Branda version, if I recall correctly. It took some work to fit but not to bad for a fiberglass part. The rear valance is the heavy gauge replacement from NPD and fit perfectly from side to side. I did have to rework the mounting tabs to fit better but that could be because I have aftermarket quarter panels. The rear bumper is a snug fit fiberglass from Maier. It only needed a little bit of work to complete the snug fit. The bumper came with studs bonded to it. Very poor way to mount the rear bumper. I removed the studs and bonded the bumper to the factory bumper brackets using 3M 8115.

$900 through Hagerty for insurance. Not sure how one call was $1460 and the follow up call it was $900. I paid the $900 on the spot. Spent pretty all morning trying to get the insurance selected and then processed.
Sadly my build falls under the pro street category so it has to go through underwriting. So no tags today. 24-48 hours for underwriting. Then I'll get tags and get an alignment. The Tires Plus store I use for all our cars has an old timer that did a great job on the alignment our my son's lifted truck. I'm sure he can figure out the alignment on the MII setup. I called but will need to drive it there for him to look at.

I'm still shocked it's pretty much done. Best part was the neighbor behind us who has a Shelby truck and a newer Mustang. They had a party or something going on and they all just happen to be out in front of their house. They all stopped and turned to look when they heard me coming.
It sits so low so I measured the roof and it's 50" from the ground.

Wow, that's beautiful and sounds great, must feel really good.

That's fantastic. The car looks and sounds great. I pay about the same to Hagerty for a stated value policy.

Very nice!

It's been two days since I spoke with Hagerty. They said 24-48 hours for underwriting to review the policy. I call tomorrow to see how things are going. Really want to go out and drive it for a real shake down, not just around the block.
In the mean time I have been cleaning up the garage and reorganizing it. Also been pressure washing the fence and the boss has more to do things for me while I'm off from work.

Congratulations RTM, At least ya didn't come home with a cop following you like a buddy of mine did when he took his nova out for a maiden 2 block run! Officer was a good guy though.

You might also try Grundy, Condon Skelly, or see about getting a stated value policy through the carrier which covers all your other vehicles and/or home. To be honest, $900 seems high to me. My DDs cost me about $1,000/year each. A car that sees 1/10th-1/20th the mileage driven by and adult should be less than that, even if the value is high. Just my opinion.

I was quoted a policy on my stated value. I also got the cherished value so I can keep the mustang and collect the money. I'm also considered a pro street build which is good and bad. The bad is I can't insure our son until he's been driving for ten years. The good is I'm covered for occasional track use.
Another thing that I'm sure affects my sure is the horse power. The pro street thing is the wider than stock tires, mini tubs and the six point roll bar. With Hagerty I can use mine to run to the store, go get ice cream and things like that. Most others limit when and where you drive. I want to drive mine as much as I can.

We do have a retired cop that lives on our block. But I could see that happening to me.

Congratulations! Great job.
As for the insurance, I always thought you wanted to have an "agreed value" policy. "Stated value" policies typically only pay actual cash value (or what the insurance company thinks the value is) in the event of a total loss while "agreed value" policies pay the full value in the event of a total loss.
For example, if I have a $50000 agreed value policy and my car is totaled, the insurance company pays me $50000. If I have a $50000 stated value policy and my car is totaled, and the actual cash value of the car (based on market values) is $20000, I only get $20000.
When I was looking to insure mine after it was painted and running properly, I took the summary of all of my receipts and records showing he work I did, work and cost of other professionals' work, and the cost of the parts, to a certified professional classic auto appraiser and had him value the car. Then I used that appraised value to determine the agreed value I wanted to insure your car for. I used the appraisal report to help substantiate the value to the insurance company.

I think my agreed value of $50k is why it's in underwriting and that it's classified as a pro street build. I typed up a detailed list of every mod and upgrade. I even spoke to them over the phone going over pricing of everything on the build. We easily reach a value that met the $50K agreed value I want. No labor costs were added to this number.
