i am back again - this time with more projects! :)

I am back again yall! between kids and my parents moving here from India permanently and their medical care, last couple years have been a blurr. A blurr in which i longingly looked at the stang and wanted to convert it to manual and change its wiring, and all sorts of fun things. Well , my head is an inch above water now, and I am going to use that inch to do things with the mustang.

After swapping my AOD with someone here................ MS.. i now am in posession of a T5. and while the engine is out, i might as well do some other fun things to it!
like

American Auto wire complete wiring harness
Gen5 Vintage Air AC system
FIx the doors
Electric fans AGAIN -- ford Contour fans with AutoCoolGuy PWN controller
and ofcourse the t5 swap :D

Anyway - want to say Hi! again .. and hope you all are doing ok, and I hope to see you all with all this done at this upcoming bash (not mini bash)

Also -- is anyone interested in a complete Classic Air AC system for this 65 66 generation of mustangs.. its complete , but the crank pulley. I will post in the selling chat but if you are interested let me know!

Happy to be here again!

Here is my son helping me take the AOD out.

Welcome back Gaba. That is quite a list to get done in time for the Bash, butt I like the way you think. Each one of your projects would take me a year to complete.

Welcome back, Gaba.  People just don't appreciate just how good a man has to be to put family before his Mustang.  LOL.  Honestly though, I'm glad you got all that worked out a bit and can have a little fun on the car.  Hope to see you soon.

Why did you pull the engine ??!.....(I may have forgotten)
That will really simplify the trans swap and some of the AC stuff too...and the waring.
How "healthy" IS the engine BTW?  400 HP and the T-5 may not be very happy (jus say'in!)
Nice looking ride BTW........

Re: i am back again - this time with more projects! :)

On the street 400HP and a T5 in good shape will be just fine, so long as you don't powershift 3rd.  In a light car like an early Mustang the tires will break loose in 1st and 2nd long before you shock load the trans enough to break it.  3rd you might have enough traction though.  I've replaced A LOT of 3rd gears in T5s over the years.

Re: i am back again - this time with more projects! :)

T5 is easy to rebuild ;)

Also- why is the engine out ? Cause — i had to fix wiring and AC and exhaust leaks and such that taking the engine out was an easier thing than to have to work around it ;)

Now it’s spacious to work around and rewire and drill holes etc

Re: i am back again - this time with more projects! :)

Well.. it’s going slow but going . All wires are out of the car . Dash and under dash guts are all out as well.
With steering columns also out of the way, she is clean slate ready to start over with the Vintage Air gen5 and new wiring harness and a cable clutch etc . !

Re: i am back again - this time with more projects! :)

Be sure your new clutch pedal is in place before attempting to put the AC hose for the driver side in place. That hose will get flattened somewhat where it must go ABOVE the pedal support. It will still move plenty of air.

Also, figue in the movement of the wiper arms and the AC hose.
