T10 Bell -- T5 Trans -- Conversion Plate......Clutch Fork and Throwout

I'm going to post 2 photos.....

As the title suggests, it's a T10 Bell with a Conversion Plate and T5 Trans and Factor T10 Clutch Fork!!

I don't feel like both bearings sit well, but, I don't have a lot of exposure, just some.
Even the factory one with the square flange and Clips seems to sit at the tip, too far out.

Am I wrong?  Are both sitting well and right?  Also the new style one for the T5 is loose on the T10 fork, that's not good right?

Fyi I've had zero driveability issues for 5yrs with the original style bearing.

I wouldn’t use the T5 throw out bearing.  Keep the one that goes either the T10 bell housing.  I'm sure it's fine.  Is the bearing clipped all the way onto the fork?

I have no experience with this conversion so I can’t offer anything on the pieces used.

I would offer that the throw-out bearing needs to match the pressure plate as there may be different diameter throw-out bearings, and that it needs to match contact point of the pressure plate fingers.

Very True Bob!  Too many variables with T10 Bell and T5 Trans with Mechanical.
When I did my 69 I went T5 everything with Hydraulic Conversion. Much easier.

Yes RTM the OE style Throwout is seated all the way.

I cant find a Conversion Bearing anywhere, or any info on using a Modern Clutch with Toploader Bell and Fork.

You might try contacting "Modern Driveline", I found them to be very helpful.

I also used a T5 bellhousing and a hydraulic clutch for my conversion to the T5 transmission.

I also recognized a 1/8" (possibly slightly greater) over all height difference using the New Diaphragm and clutch, with Old Fork and Old Throwout Bearing design.

Is that measurement something to be very concerned with, or not?

I would be concerned with how the clutch fork will travel and function.  Now thinking outside of the box my first thought would be to shim the fort pivot out that 1/8".
