I'm gonna replace my rear shoes on my car they are 10" drums with the 1 1/2" shoe. Checker also lists 10" drum with 2" shoes they said that's for an 8" rear also is that correct I thought they only had those on 9" big bearing rear ends

Cars in later years had wider shoes. You can't just change shoe width without changing backing plates and drums.

Ok just thought that was odd I just kinda figured that the wider shoes are what a 9" rear had and I know mines an 8"
