A pal of mine(and his better half) came and spent the weekend with me and Ms.6sally6. They drove up in a 2013(I think) Boss Mustang! Sweeet ride.
The story only gets better,though.
670+HP to the rear wheels and a 6 speed manual tranny...yet it idles as smooth as my wifes Nissan!
+...it gets 23 mpg @ 75/80mph. Buttwho da heck can drive something live that with any sanity??!
This dude is .....scary fast too! Before I could get it from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd... it was on the rev-limiter @ 7 grand! By the time it was just spooling up good in 3rd gear the back end was starting to come around and I got out of it.
YEAH!!!!!......spooling up is the operative hint hear.
Like the old say'in goes..."there's no replacement for displacement"...unless you got a supercharger...then EVERYTHING starts to happen fast.
We had a terrific weekend and hopefully this guy can make it to another MSBB soon cause he's a real hoot!!

Sal, Was it Don Sellers? It sounds exactly like his car. I got to drive it in Florida last year. Scary fast! I didn't have time to look at the tach, but Don said I chickened out at 5500... too much traffic

Uh-huh!
We/I drove it all over Chasn. Good folks and bad-fanny car(that's how you get around the censor!!) Funny thing is....the gears are sooo close together I would go from 1st to 4th or.. start off in 3rd.. With all that torque it didn't lug it down and....shoot...I didn't even realize it until he would say..."nice shift from 1 to 4 Sal!" Duh..real hotrodder.huh?!?

Sal Old Buddy Old Pal, it was great spending time with you and catching up on some hotrodding. To me the best part of a car is sharing it with others and you sure seemed to get a kick out of it!
A couple of corrections from your original post: it redlines at 7500 and you bumped it plenty of times during your "spirited driving"! It got 24.7 mpg while driving 80-90 mph and at an honest 70 it will get 27. ThI wish you could have heard it with the side pipes opened but in the interest of your heart I chose to keep it quiet.

Well, technically, unless he's still running points instead of electronic ignition, and a manual voltage regulator instead of solid state... then his ain't gonna run after an EMP either.
