ive got a 65 mustang manual steering with a 19:1 steering gear. whats the difference between switching to a 16:1 gear box, or getting a quick steering idler/pitman arm kit? or do I use them together?

Basic dif is the manual box turns lock to lock is greater than the power steering box ie 3.75 turns to 3.0 turns,,, not sure exactly number of turns,,
