Ed,
I know what you mean. I saved all of my receipts from my 64 1/2 convertible build. They do add up. When it is all said and done you have to go back and look. Memory fads; at least mine did. You would be amazed at how many nickels and dimes you can spend if you do it right and I'm sure you will.

It doesn't matter how much you spend, it matters how much you save. It has to be that way because Brenda never tells me what she spends but always says what she saves.

I am going broke hearing "How Much I Saved" when "We" go to Costco or Sams
Or you can watch a movie for 2 minutes and then sleep the rest of the day??

Most important thing:
MAKE A WRITTEN PLAN of what you want to do to the car. Then stick to it to avoid spending money over and over. Refer to my post about the vibration...
You don't think I learned all this stuff by doing it RIGHT the FIRST time, do you?

I've redone things a couple times in the last 24 years. I wish I would of spent a little more back in the day and done them right the first time around. But I have to say I've learned a lot in the 24 years I've owned my 69 Mustang.

Its not as easy as it sounds to do it right the first time even if you try.

Oh I have a plan, It reads. "Replace Almost Everything" Seriously I do have a good list of parts going, and when I see them at good prices on CJ or wherever I try to get them. I have years to collect this stuff up before I start assembly. So a lot of this will go into boxes and marked off the list.

Nice... I like that.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
