fyi If one side is dry the other side is almost there. If you replace with a new one , tear apart the bad unit and find the failure mechanism. If you replace both, tear apart both. take pictures and contact the manufacture engineer dept /quality, They have some questions to answer. If you talk to sales dept they will not gva sht and maybe give you new units, just a fyi

How long have you had that RUMBLING??
Glad your mechanic found the dry bearing on the lift, and not you with a failure on the road.
Yeah Buddy keep Ed & Anna safe.

It wasn't rumbling, just a whining roar after about ten miles on the road. Corky I think you drove my car in Texas and it was making noise then. My loud mufflers was hiding the main noise, but since I went to the Walker Quiet flows you could really pick up on it. Took an expert all of five minutes of driving to nail it though.
I change out the passenger side hub in about an hour when I go pick it up.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
