John Deere lawn tractor -
Bent blade on culvert pipe
Bent mower deck when blade hit a stump
Mower belt snapped, - can't imagine why...
66 Mustang
Lifter and camshaft wiped out
Dented taillight panel pushing the car into the garage
2017 Shelby
Curbed right rear wheel at Baton Rouge hotel (shows real good to scratch an alloy wheel that was black to begin with) Less than 1,000 miles on the odometer
Curbed two left side wheels in Katy, TX while turning the corner to the hotel.
2017 Durango
Backed rear bumper into a trailer. Forgot to turn rear park assist back on after towing the boat to the lake.
Scratched a big gouge in the plastic bumper. Less than 100 miles on odometer.
Several have suggested I quit driving forever. Some have even offered to take these old beat up cars off my hands at no charge.
Today I ordered a new set of chrome wheels to go on the Shelby. I think I subconsciously trashed the black wheels since I hate the way they make the car look. It is probably a good thing my 66 won't be drivable for a while...

Sell everything but the John Deer and stick to only driving on Green Acres. You are that age now.

You need a Chauffer!...LOL When you get some more miles on the Durango give us update! I've had my eye on them since 2011 when they started the new body style. Do you have the Hemi or 3.6?

I have an R/T with the 5.7 hemi.
I forgot to mention I got a speeding ticket going 81 in a 65 on trip to Dallas in the Durango. I blame the active cruise control for speeding up when the guy in front of me moved over when he spotted the cop.

Oliver Wendell Douglas had a Hoyt-Claggwell tractor. He goes into Drucker's store and is asked "You want a part for a WHAT?"

Well, at least the boat came thru it unharmed.

It's gotta be just a function of two new cars in one year. One is jealous of the other and causing bad vibes. The poor John Deere was just a bystander. The 66 just felt left out! The kids know how to get attention.

Well, look at it this way. You no longer have to worry about scratches, that box has been checked.
Maybe the "Feng shui" of the garage is off.

Horrible luck. That hurts just to think about it.
Me too in a lesser way a couple of weeks ago. High centered the '15 GT in a culvert. Bent the engine cradle and ripped the front bumper off. Car's been in the shop for two weeks. Might be ready tomorrow after I pay $4,500.
But it has given me a chance to drive the 'Old Horse' about 500 miles. That's been fun.

66 Mustang - How did you do the cam and lifters in?? This kind of damage would have been felt...

If you want to know how to beat that ticket send me a PM. Can't be much help with the other stuff, but that I know I can solve.

So the lesson here is, "You can trust MS to work on your car, just not to drive it?" LOL

Sounds like the April I had. the hail storm on the 16 Mustang, wife rear ended an suv in her 11 Avenger, and then someone rear ended her in my 04 Jeep about a week later. All in about 20 days. I still haven't fixed the Jeep.

That has some HP. I was going to go with the 3.6 for better mileage and pretty good power for my needs. Hey I have a JD with the 54" deck. I bought a set of 9 blades on Ebay for a pretty good price. I been mowing along a fence line and hit some rocks and stumps. Bent the original set up pretty good.

I got my wife a brand new Expedition last month. Less than 800 miles on it and and a stone hits the windshield, leaving a nice big star crack. I'm just waiting for that to spread.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
