Insurance choices

So I'd like to poll you guys about what insurance company you use for a classic Mustang that is not driven daily, and what policy options you've chosen.

Re: Insurance choices

Grundy   they appraise and raise value each year.  ie I started at 30k and am now at 43k ,  They allow for driving your car and also have extra coverage during trips (bash runs)

Re: Insurance choices

State Farm, who insures everything else as well.  I had a professional appraisal done on the car prior to setting up the policy and that determined replacement value.  The appraisal took into account similar cars for sale across the country, auctions, and internet sales as well.  I really should get it appraised again, as I've made considerable changes to the car since then, but all told I pay about $300/year.  There are no restrictions in terms of how or where I can drive it.  I think I'm caped at 5k miles a year, but that's a joke anyway, as I never put that many miles a year on it.  What I like more than anything is I personally know my insurance agent, his office is 5 minutes from my house, I know where he lives, etc.  Any issues I've ever had on any policy I have with him I've been very satisfied with the service I received.

Another one to look at is Hagerty, which can be had through Allstate.  I think my neighbor still uses them to insure his Malibu.

My Hagerty policy is through my local Farm Bureau agent, so I can deal with the same agent that I deal with for my other home and auto policies.

Re: Insurance choices

I have Hagerty through a local "Silver Wheels" broker.  The premium on agreed value is based on appraisal. Very few restrictions other than no use as a daily driver. 2,000,000 liability plus all the other usual stuff.
I pay $373.00 CDN for $45,000 replacement value.
