the wife found me in tears this morning.........

as i sat at the breakfast table with my morning cup of coffee.  Concerned, she asked what had me so upset.  I told her that back when we were single, her daddy threatened me and told me if I didtn't marry her, he'd make sure I'd spend the next thirty 30 years of my life in the state pen.  She then asked, so why was upset now................I told her, today i would have been released!!!!

All kidding aside, today is our 30th anniversary and she's given me more support than I deserve.  Never a complaint when I drug home a new "mustang project"......never. In fact, our first mustang was a '68 and even with her 4 months pregnant, she and I pushed that thing up the driveway and into the garage.  She's held down the fort multiple times when I deployed to that middle east garden spot, and kept everything together.

So fella's, give you spouse a hug and let her know how much you appreciate her.................now, where'd I leave that cup of coffee?

Re: the wife found me in tears this morning.........

Congratulations to you both. Hope you have a great day!  Back in 1973, my wife then fiance, patiently waited while I spent 13 months in Bahrain.  Another garden spot.

Best Wishes for many more

Re: the wife found me in tears this morning.........

Congratulations, josh.  You are a very lucky guy to have found her.  We celebrated 34 years last weekend.  I have never been overseas or in a combat area, but shouldn't those extra 4 years count for something?

Re: the wife found me in tears this morning.........

Congrats to both ya'll! Yeah.....these wives can be pretty special.
Mine was married to a submarine sailor!!  If she lasted through those 4 years...the other 40 years was a cake walk.
She just don't like "old cars"(her words!)

Congratulations Josh. It's obvious that your wife has great patience. We want to hear her version on how wonderful being married to you for 30 years has been.

Re: the wife found me in tears this morning.........

That's a long time!

It would have been my thirtieth anniversary this year on oct 21 if it wasn't for cancer. Few people realize how important our significant others are in our lives until they are suddenly gone. Rejoice and make this one special for her.

So Congratulations, and hope you guys get to the 50th anniversary!
