Finalized plans today for my new garage and game room building. If we get the HOA approvals all done, they plan on starting mid October. Finally will have a dedicated place to actually WORK on something. Shop will be 26 x 30 and gameroom 22 x 20.. 12’ ceilings and I will move my four post lift from the old three car garage. Also moving the ac system. And it will have a restroom and pool table.

Now that sounds like a man cave.

Good for you, Steve. Now that's what I call a SHOP! Can't wait to see it.

A little something for the outside landscape

Excellent.
It is always better to have a mortgage you don’t mind paying. I put a urinal in my shop- it makes the mortgage worth paying.

I don't owe any money to anyone and don't intend to start now!

Awesome! I'd love to know who you use. I want to build a new shop, but I have not had a lot of luck with good contractors.

The company is Mahoney Builders, but I think they only work in the hill country.

Very cool. Nothing more exciting for a car guy than building a new shop.
Question though. Why the irregular shaped foot print? Does your HOA limit your square footage or do you have set back issues? Or did you just prefer the look?

I wanted a more architecturally pleasing shape than just a rectangular box. Two roof ridges 90 degrees from each other and an 8' x 20' porch in front of the game room. Would post a floorplan if the pic post thing would show up again. Maybe my old browser does not support?

Love the idea of a covered porch on the shop. Add a porch swing and a couple of oversized rocking chairs...what a great place to sit and relax with an adult beverage at the end of the day.
Would love to see the floor pan if you can post it.

So now, I can insert pics from my phone, but not my desktop. Opposite of before.
The sectional overhead door into the game room will have aluminum frame with glass panels.

That is going to be great. Love the idea of the glass paneled door. 30' is a good depth too. When I built mine, it was supposed be 30' deep, but we were bumping up against set back lines and had to shrink it to 28'. Every day I wish I had that extra 2'.

looks good post pics on the construction please

The plans call for 10 foot walls, but the Elevation views don’t look like 10 foot walls. Doesn’t look to scale. Plus, where are the Pull Pots?
