So I'm bolting up my steering column and can't remember or find a bolt that goes where the yellow dot in the pictures. I've got all the other holes accounted for including the hole directly across from the yellow dot.

I recieved info that the hole in question is not used on a 69 Mustang. So I think I'll go with that and button up the dash.

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....'fits bolted to the bottom of the dash all those others are jus X-tree. Mighta fell out leaving the assembly line in 69! FoMoCo was still slinging 'em out then and quality control was just a 'suggestion'!

Well, I was informed of the correct info today. That bolt and the one directly left of it in the pic, take a 5/16 bolt into a captive nut located on the lower dash. My image of the Osborn manual is from the Chassis, not the Body Assembly manual, which has the proper diagram.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
