Hello I am looking for suggestions on material to use to build a body cart for my Mustang. Ive seen a few different carts I did work in a Mustang Restoration shop for a while really cool cars. My boss only used like 1 3/4" square tubing for everything except his larger tube for the end to slide on the long center tube. I dont really wanna go this route I need to pull my engine transmission and then I want to pull my front suspension and rear axle. This way I can replace my trunk to gas tank panel. Plus I need to weld in a patch near where the Drivers side rear shackle bushing mounts. And I need to replace one frame rail section top. Im debating buying material to make a body cart or just paying the extra jegs has a rotisserie for just over 800. Sure would make it nice to spray the whole car. Its to bad that harbor freight had that large jack stand recall a while back. I was also debating just getting some square tubing attaching it to the front frame rails and cutting a notch out of it so the jack stand would sit inside the tubing that way I can raise and lower the car equally. Then i could mount the rear to the front leaf spring pocket. That way I can still install the rear axle housing easily.

I'd probably just buy one ready made. I just don't tend to have the time I need to work on stuff as it is, so being able to spend that time actually working on the car instead of working on something to work on the car would seem to me money well spent. That's where I am in life though. If I were retired I'd probably save the money and build my own.
