I need to convert to a 3G alternator for my 68 302
Can someone give me part numbers for the alternator, pulley and any thing else needed.
I did find a pre made harness to wire it up but just want to be sure on parts.
Thanks for any help

I bought an alternator for a 93 Mustang GT V8 and at first just used the pulley off of the original alternator. That caused a lot of squeal at start up. MS recommended ordering a pully for a 66 GT, a little larger in diameter and helped the squeal.

94-95 Mustang (7771)
95 Taurus (7770)...there is a ground boss cast into rear housing that can be used for grounding or removed.
They can be reclocked as needed or desired.

My apologies, was trying to go from memory. Checked my notes, mine was a 94 Mustang.

Yep, Fox cars used the older 2G style, rated at 75 amps. The 3G is an upgrade for them too. I've now got 3Gs on my '67 and my '89.
