    floating gas pressure

    Hello all , here i come with a new issue regards fuel pump.
    I changed fuel pump and put a pressure regulator to be sure my new carburator recives the right psi 5 as suggested . When cold i can see gauge set at 5 psi , then when warm pressure drop to 1 psi . 
    Nothing changes if i adjust pressure wiht screw in regulator . 
    Pump and regulator have  less than 6 month and few miles . Car runs good , some difficult after long time sleep .
    Now starts correctly at second cranck .
    How to solve this psi floating ?  using pump DELPHI MF0065

    Either the regulator or pump is bad.  I would bet regulator first.  Fuel pumps tend to either work or not.  I would try a different regulator and see if it solves it.

    I would change regulator.  Actually, I would remove the regulator. I have never had a need for one. Ford did not use them.

    Also, be sure the rubber line at the tank or frame connection is in good condition and not sucking shut when it gets hot.

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    I saw Delphi and thought it was electric, but I Googled it and see its mechanical.  I'm with MS on this; ditch the regulator.  I only ever use a regulator with an electric fuel pump.
