I bought the Valeo King Cobra clutch for mine and it's held up very well. It fits the 10-1/2" flywheel.

Exedy stage 1 rated for 430 ft/lb torque.
I’m not past that on my stock 5.0L
I purchased clutch kit through American Muscle.
I also replaced the worn clutch arm and pivot stud as well.
I’m not racing, good for a daily driver and spirited driving.
And didn’t deplete the bank account.🤣
I tried to be realistic for what a stock engine combo really needed at this time.

I'm running a stock long finger pressure plate. All stock 67 clutch linkage too in a late model bell.

King Cobra in my '67. I really like it. Very smooth, easy to use and a definite engagement point. For stock or lightly modified that's the way I'd go.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
