Molded Coupe Carpet Fit into a Convertible?

Hi all been awhile I hope everyone is doing well..
I’m thinking about changing my carpet in the 66 convertible it’s faded in spots... I found one for sale locally brand new only problem is it’s for a coupe.. anybody know what the difference will be? I’m sure trimming will be involved but will mostly everything else a fall into place?
Basically asking could I make it work? Thank you

Re: Molded Coupe Carpet Fit into a Convertible?

"They" say the carpet for the convertible is wider in order to cover the one piece seat riser and inner rockers, which coupes and fastbacks don't have.

Re: Molded Coupe Carpet Fit into a Convertible?

The issue with the convertible is the carpet needs more material to go up and over the inner rocker, other than that they are the same.
Some makes are one size fits all and extra on the coupe is trimmedl.
Best to measure  from the center to the outside edge and verify there is enough material to cover the rocker past the sill plate.

Some carpets are molded to floor shape too.

"one piece seat riser"?????-----  that explains why I had to split mine  carpet under the center console to get it fitting properly.
