The first time in years, and the last time I used my wipers, was coming home from the FL bash. They were real slow compared to what my DD's have. I put in an intermittent switch many year ago. When we got home I took the motor and arms all apart and cleaned and lubed them with no change. Is there a faster motor that fits that can replace the original 1970?

70 wiper motors suffer from bad ground wire issues. Have you checked that?

Are you getting full voltage at the motor?
Just wrapped up in garage for today to make better notes.
I was able to get both motors operating with 88 switch and module as designed...for a truck.
I was just using my fully charged battery only for following information.
88 F-series motor with two 3 wire connectors:
Low speed = 35 rpms
High speed = 56 rpms
96 F-series motor with single 6 wire connector:
Low speed = 35 rpms
High speed = 56 rpms
After I get my notes organized, I will share information about wiring.
Still have to figure out if they will work on 65.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
