What do you guys think about these wheels?

What do you guys think about these wheels my old Boss has these for sale? 17x7 front 18x9 rear. Do you think they would look out of place on a 65-66 Coupe? I like how they look similar to a style steel wheel. https://ibb.co/JQSc2GJhttps://ibb.co/Cn244H6 https://ibb.co/q7W6qgF https://ibb.co/CJ0Wz6P https://ibb.co/VV1VdtN https://ibb.co/YZwhT7L https://ibb.co/tQbbpTC https://ibb.co/3hJq3vN https://ibb.co/rfdjzTj https://ibb.co/R3V4whR

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

As far as style goes, not my cup of tea.  I'd be concerned about the fitment of the rear wheels.

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

Check the backspacing and the tire size; 65-66's have less space to fit wider tires.

65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.

Not my cup of tea either, but wheels are all about personal preference.

But I also doubt they will fit.

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

They seem to fit on the car in the picture but they look too much like “hot wheels” for my taste.

I understand why they want to take them off their car.

Rudi those year model cars have a little more room in the wheel wells dont they? I think the 66 dont  have a lot.....maybe stick a 66 rear in a 67 and squeeze some wider tires.

Yeah I think you are right,  the 67-68 and up have more room for wider tires.

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

'67-up do have more room.

Man, $250k, I'm wondering how much of something that rhymes with "rack" was smoked...

Especially since he then wanted a stock suspension and wheels on it.  Well, the wheels I guess I get...

Not those wheels. Don't really care for them or the Shelby back end either.

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

It was completely rotisserie restored underneath its as concourse as you can get. As far as engine compartment for the most part and the exception of the shelby taillight  panel and custom fuel cap. The owner originally bought a Revology  Mustang. He said it was absolutely crap then he found that convertible. Personally I dont understand how it sold for that much. My old Boss built it for his wife for a present she never even drove it once. Lol

He should have took that 250,000 and built 4 or 5 more and sold them too.

This guy figured why have a new Revology car with all these numerous problems when I can have a car restored to Pebble Beach Quality.

Re: What do you guys think about these wheels?

The underneath or the car was very concourse is what I meant to say. Stripe like on the sway bar, coil springs, idler arm, pitman arm, drive shaft trans. He was lucky to find the original frame rack Numbers as well on the driver side rear of the bumper mount.
