I started racing Go-Karts when I was 8 years old, so I don't hear all that well in my right ear, so both of my pipes exit the car in front of the right rear tire. At cruise, my car is quiet! At lease to me!!!

I'm still in my mid 40's and already prefer a more "distinguished" exhaust system sound...

I wonder I'm the youngest one one here I'm 31 I like a car with some rumble my car still has the 40 series mufflers on it that were on it when I bought it. Now granted my car has sat for a while and I havent gotten to drive it but man with those factory exhaust manifolds straight pipe no cross over and dual 40 series flowmasters it sounds so nice when she idles. Down side now I did the Borgeson Powersteering conversion does anyone else have really tight clearance on the stock manifolds? I worry about when the engine torques.

I have the Borgeson box in my 68 with JBA shorty's and tube #3 hit the box and required some percussion engineering to clear. I actually have that header off at the moment and am in the process of relocating tube #3 & 4 to clear the box. I'll let you know how it goes. No one could see the big nasty dent I put in the tube but it drove me crazy knowing it was there and how I did it.

You probable on of the younger guys hanging around here.
I have about 1/8" clearance between the Borgeson gear box and headers thanks to the dimple I added. With 8K miles, its hasn't been an issue and the motor torques away from the gear box.

Have about an 1/8 clearance next to my engine and stock manifolds.

It's like water down a drain goes the opposite way in the southern hemisphere ... engines torque the other way .... not really.
I have converted one car to right hand drive, by the time you mount a variable ratio Falcon power box on the right side, there's not lot of room for headers. Usually custom or manifolds.
I won't do another conversion.
