My dear wife and I have had covid back in January and February of this year . Her question is ,is there going to be any one bring a mask , I'm doing this for her peace of mind thanks guys

Tanya and I got jabbed but will bring our masks. We'll be stopping along the way plus, restaurants in TX may require masks until you are seated at your table.

The CDC is advising that even those who've been vaccinated continue to wear masks, because they are still not sure whether or not vaccinated people can spread the virus even though they may be immune (asymptomatic carriers, think Typhoid Mary). Also, though the vaccines are highly effective they are not 100% effective.
I'm unfortunately going to have to sit this one out due to the timing coinciding with other life events. I wish everyone a healthy and happy Bash.

Better To be safer than sorry. After being very sick for wks. 2 months ago, it does make us a little gun shy. Wife made thru & never got anything, vax and all. Myself that 1st vax jab reminded me what 2 months ago was like for a few days. See what happens next week, but we can't keep worrying about it...

I don't do masks (if you know me you will understand why!) butt.........if it makes a person feel better wearing one then by all means brang it!
I feel its a personal preference.
I really can't wrap-my-head-around why...somebody driving in a car...alone...would wear one butt ....or walking around outside alone
....or take a mask off long enough to light up a cig
.....
I doubt anybody in this group will "mask-shame" anyone without a mask. I'll have one because I'm flying and airlines are idiots! jus say'in!

We will bring masks and wear them as little as possible. The wife and I just returned from a trip the St Croix, USVI and even though we tested negative for Covid we still had to wear a mask inside stores etc. The airport and flight were the worst having to wear the mask for hours on end. On the dive boat, even though we're all close together, we did not have to wear Covid masks. I will respect peoples choice on wearing masks or not.

I think the main thing is to be responsible. If you have been exposed recently, make sure you are negative before you interact with the group. If you exhibit ANY symptoms, do not interact with the group.
Everyone in this group I have met so far will, I am sure, act responsibly.
Masks do help, as has been scientifically proven, but it is real hard to convince everyone of that fact. Luckily, most bash related activities are outdoors where it is less likely of catching the virus. It is impossible to eat or drink with one on. Restaurants in Tx typically do require them except when you are at your table.
I do not have the perfect answer, I am sure. Everyone should just do what makes them most comfortable. I typically wear a mask when around people I do not know. My thinking is that this group consists of intelligent people (except maybe sal) who have survived this long and will do what is needed to continue their longevity.

We will be there and have our masks. Wearing them outside is very doubtful. Social distancing should be fun with this bunch and all that are hard of hearing!!! Can't wait.

There is a time and place for masks. But over the last year I've seen some utter stupidity too. Sometimes you got to ask yourself where the common sense has gone! Anyways, I am officially missing out again this year, as I got something going on I can't get away from. I hope everyone has a great time and I'm sorry to miss another one.

Anytime you're reading anything being reported by the News, remember that you can not trust that the information is coming from a reliable source. Unfortunately, we don't seem to have any source of information these days that isn't being driven by an agenda designed to manipulate us.
As a side note, only 25 states are currently mandating masks.

I can't make it this year - still in rehab for my new shoulder. I will say this - JMHO - I will listen to the scientists and the medical professionals - my daughter is a nurse. You listen to the experts when you work on your Mustangs - why not listen to the experts about the virus? Get your shots. Shut up and wear a mask. This damned virus will never go away if we ALL don't step up and do what is right to stop the spread. It isn't going to last forever. Some day it will be a thing of the past, or at least, it won't be the danger that it is right now, and by then you will be getting your yearly Covid shot just like you get your flu shot. Again JMHO.
All of you attending the Bash this year - have a good one and be safe so I can see all of you next year when I can attend!

No mask shaming here.
Michigan has gone overboard and even contradicts its own guidelines.
Even to the point of stupidity...not going to explain that right now because the governess will change it 10 minutes from now.
Please do what you need to to protect yourself and others.
See ya guys soon.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
