HELP-Pony door panel install

Could not get lower panel clips to lock in...ok got one only.

One in upper section bent, fixed that.
I have red clips from NPD for pony interior.
TMi door panel has a bow towards the vinyl side.
I had clips started in holes before attempting to secure.

Need help ASAP..supposed to leave today.

Re: HELP-Pony door panel install

Put some lube on the clips and make sure they are properly oriented so they go straight into the holes on the door.
Only use BRAND NEW clips designed for pony panels.

Re: HELP-Pony door panel install

You could try the fix Mochaman uses for his door panels.  He took one of his doors apart at the Bash here and his panels were held on with magnets.  Really slick.

Re: HELP-Pony door panel install

Velcro might work...........I drilled holes and used SS screws with a decorative ring. How they came in 65 I think?!

Re: HELP-Pony door panel install

Thanks for tips.  Was able to get passenger side on with little problem.

Driver...well.  Will try again at cousin’s home.. or Rockwall.
Minor repairs on backboard might have to occur first.

Not gonna stop us from leaving Michigan...at least not me.😂
