    Our Route to Rockwall

    We will leave Vandalia, IL on Wednesday morning around 7 am and travel down I-57 to I- 57 to Memphis then hit I-40 to Little Rock the I-30 to Rockwall.   Anyone else using a similar route????  
    BobC Looks like that would be your route as well???????

    We will pickup 1-40 west bound at Memphis. Our plan is to stop somewhere south of LR along I-30. Not sure yet exactly where we'll stop.

    That is what we have planned once we get to IL.  We are planning to leave here on Tuesday.

    FYI....the I-40 bridge over the MS river in Memphis, is currently closed. Recent inspections found some serious structural damage.

    If that impacts anyone, keep checking for road updates and consider alternate routes thru Memphis. Traffic may be a mess there.

    Credit goes to BB for bringing that to my attention...

    Plan on making a stop Wednesday some where in Arkansas , I am flexible as far as where we stop. If any one wants to pick a spot let me know . We are leaving Lancaster Ohio Wednesday A.M.

    Due to Memphis Bridge closure and traffic re-routing to the I-55 bridge, I'm now heading south out of huntsville and picking up I-20 at Birmingham. Only adds 30 minutes to the trip which is better than being stuck in the Memphis mess.

    No matter the route, everyone drive safely...

    Plan is now leave Lancaster Ohio A.M. Wednesday Travel about ten Hours that will put us in the Blytheville  AR. area for a overnight. Hopefully all goes well.
