Texas Bound Mañana

Heading out at 4am tomorrow for 858 miles to Bullet Bob's place in Montrose Colorado. Gonna hang with Jean and Bob till we leave for Armadillo Tuesday (oops, I do know we're leaving Wednesday) morning. Wish the Evans' luck with their squatter.

Re: Texas Bound Mañana

Thanks John, it has been so far. Arrived after being on the road for 14 hours. Hit 3 rain storms in Utah, lots of side winds, and plenty of uphill climbs, and still averaged 19 mpg with a carburetor.

Re: Texas Bound Mañana

Sounds like a fun trip!

Hope you have a tow strap so that Bullet’s EFI’d 66 can make the rest of the trip with you.

Congrats on the carb’d 19 mpg with big cubic inches. Ain’t OD great?

That's cruel, MS.  I dare say that Bullet's EFI'd 66 has racked up more bash miles than most since we started attending in 2010.  Three trips to Texas plus Kalispel, and Ft Walton Beach.  However, I am sorry to report that it'll be staying home this time.  Full story at Glen's Annual Thursday Night Board Meeting.
