Who did I talk to at Ed's that rebuilt T5s?

This is Joe...  I talked to somebody at Eds just before I was leaving talking about how I needed to adjust my clutch.  I didn't get your number or name.  I think you said you were close to Houston area near Charles.... but you said you'd rebuilt a bunch of T5s and struggling to get into first means I was wearing out the synchronizer.

Anyway, send me your contact.  I want to give you a call.  I'm going to try and mess with the clutch tomorrow.

Re: Who did I talk to at Ed's that rebuilt T5s?

Struggling to get into first to me would mean an improperly adjusted clutch (i.e. the clutch isn't fully disengaging).  This won't wear the synchronizer so much as it will wear/damage the engagement teeth on 1st gear and the 1/2 slidjng sleeve.

I agree with you.  First thing to check is for complete clutch disengagement.

1968 T-code Coupe with a 302.  Nice car, no show stopper for sure, but I like it.
