I wound up with 1-1/2” lowering blocks in back to get it how I like it. Installed GR-2 rear shocks and all new rear brakes and bearings. Sounds like the third member needs bearings, too. All new front brakes, master cylinder, wheel bearings and GR-2 shocks are tomorrow’s task. It has factory power disc/drum bakes.

The 66 still has some of that collector edition Kansas rainy day dirt on it, Sal.
I have not washed the 69 since I bought it.

BINGO, stance nailed! Looks perfect Steve.
As for washing cars, my 68 was last washed in 2014 after my return from an extended one month tour in the US of A. Since then it’s been exterior detailer only with an occasional sponge bath of the wheels, wheel wells and undercarriage.

Nice stance.
How do you like the GR2’s?

Looks perfect. Tire size?

Stance looks perfect. What did you do to the front springs?

I guess I'm the only one but I think it looks a little too low. I prefer a little clearance above the tires. Also, I think there's a little too much tire in those tire wells based on the tire well shapes. ...but that's just me. It's your car so if you love it then it's perfect.

I agree the 235x60/15 tires are a little big. Kind of weird, because I have owned ten 1970 Mustangs, and I thought this same wheel/tire combo was perfect on those.
I drove the car a good distance today at highway speeds up around 80 mph and I believe the lowering blocks have caused some drivetrain issues. I sure don’t want to go through that crapola again…. Might go back to the 1” blocks. Removal of the Edelbrock shocks allowed the rear end to settle a bit. The rear dropped 3/4” when the GR2 shocks and 1-1/2” blocks were installed after removing 1” blocks. New shocks are much more forgiving. I have not changed the fronts yet.
If having the car sit a little higher to get it to go down the highway smoothly, so be it. I am considering a narrower tire in order to achieve a smoother ride quality.

The side of the front tire claims it's a P235/60R15

I prefer the staggered look , my tires are 205/60 R15 front, 225/60 R15 rear, BFG radial T/A.

Are you gonna run the KYB GR2 shocks?
