    Battery in the trunk, aluminum intake could help the weight distribution. I think Shelby did that.

    64/65/66 power steering cars may be the same, it's the car I own, but may be academic in your perspective.
    My wife drives this car, so going to a manual steering  is not on the table.
    But never cared for the wallowing handing, this is a fairly cheap upgrade and correction from factory intentional "comprised" handling.
    But of course there are always caveats in any modifications to cars, especially when most Shelby drops are made to manual steering cars.
    Travel and clearances after modification are still the same potential issue, power steering or manual car.

    Only 65-66 Mustangs used the curved driver side tie rods on power steering cars. If you remove the curved tie rod, the adjusting sleeve WILL interfere with the control valve, Shelby drop or not. The suspension and steering still go through the exact same motions as NOTHING is changed as far as lower control arm position as it travels up and down, or through full right and left steering.  So, any argument to that end does not hold water.
    I have had over 20 Mustangs with the Shelby drop. All had power steering except the current 69 model, which is scheduled to be power converted soon, although not with original type ps. None have ever had any problems resulting from the relocated UCA modification.

    67-73 Mustangs use same tie rods for manual and power steering cars, six cyl or 8 cyl.

    260, I am trying to figure out what the point is that you are trying to make?
