I would like to replace my stock low back seats with something more supportive and that reclines.
Planning on some road trips and want to be comfortable. What are you all using?

Recaro Expert M seats. Recline, adjustable side bolsters on the seat back, adjustable leg supports, all manual.

Recaros here, too. I installed them in 1984 and they have been recovered several times. They are totally manual. Front to back sliders. The mounting brackets allow for front to back tipping of the seat bottom. The back will recline. That's it. I can drive thru a whole tank of gas without any discomfort, And have done multi thousand mile trips in comfort. It is set up just for me and others have had difficulty on occasion when they had to drive it - tough.

TMI Sport Seats with headrests. They are vinyl and have horizontal ribbing like the OE seats in '67. They are very comfortable and installed with zero issues with the adapter brackets from TMI. They are also much more supportive than the OE seats. I've driven a couple 1hr plus trips in them and never felt stiff, etc. getting out of the car.

Several of us on here have used Foxbody seats with TMI covers to match the rest of the interior. I used 89 convertible seats but switched to a smaller headrest than the stock halo headrests

1994 Fox body seats with the buns extensively modified to appear as original 68 style.
Wrapped in real cow hide with buffalo inserts, rear seat to match.
Being a few inches over 6 feet tall and to keep my knees away from my ears I modded the Fox seat rails that are longer and have more travel than the 68’s, I also added extenders.
Seats don’t recline.
Left Fox seat, center modded seat, right O/E 68 seat
Front rall extender
rear extender

I used 89 Fox GT seats (Recaro) with TMI 66 Pony upholstery and new TMI foam. They are also convertible seats which do not allow full recline so....I found a right side coupe seat and swapped the recliner to the passenger seat in the Heap. Now Mom can nap easier on the road. The Driver's side has enough recline to suit me when driving. The convertible seats also have a guide loop for the shoulder belt which the coupe seats do not have. This worked out perfect for the three point belt conversion in the Heap. When I bought these TMI was not able to put the "Pony Panel" in the Fox seats as it was too wide. So they put plane panels in the rear covers to match the fronts. They did include the Pony medalian. Personally I like it without the Pony Panel but I understand they have re-designed things so they can include the ponys on the Fox seats not. vietnamese english sentence translation

2011 Mustang GT/CS seats in mine. With the 67 tracks installed they sit lower and move farther back than the originals. Me like.

Just for info on what not to do, I put 2006 Audi A4 seats in mine. While I like the look, fit, and comfort, they were a royal pita to install. Gotta love that German over engineering. After making the driver's side frame mount, I found out that the passenger side shared nothing in common. Oy.

What seat tracks did you use to put the Procar seats in? There is a Summit Racing fairly close to me.

Used extenders and bolted seats to them. The extenders are sold somewhere here on the forum. Custom fit. downside is not adjustable;but, a lot of leg and head room. I used to hate the lack of space and that problem has disappeared.

Lucky me I’m only 5’8” tall so no mods
I like most I’ve seen
Try to keep original look but more comfortable and would prefer it to recline
We are planning a lit of trip

I don’t have any pics but heard late model VW bug has some nice low bucket seats.
