Re: Streamlined Holley fuel lines, factory style

Honestly, if this was a fight I didn't notice.  I thought we were just throwing some banter back and forth.  The big issue with typed responses is there is no way to gauge intonation.  Sarcastic comments read like literal ones, etc.  I keep saying there need to be fonts for different intonations.

I'm with BB on the idea that what I like doesn't have to be what you like, etc.  The greatest part of this hobby is variety.  I have a great deal of respect for all you guys because of your knowledge and how you comport yourselves in a realm often ruled by trolls and childish behavior.  This forum is bar none the best I've ever seen n terms of how members interact with one another.

TKO - 100% agree.  If my posts offended anyone, I apologize.  I truly believe in whatever mods made to one’s ride is their choice, and if they’re happy with it, great.

Re: Streamlined Holley fuel lines, factory style

Back to the OP. I bought this tool set from a war surplus store back in 1970 when I was working on my EXP homebuilt; it makes real pro looking hose retaining bumps.

My fuel line;

 How it works.

Re: Streamlined Holley fuel lines, factory style

Those are great looking retainer bumps.  I just use the first step of an SAE inverted flare, tightened at about 50%, to make a nice bump in the tube.

Rudi - having the right tools is one part, being able to use them is another ... typically nice work by yourself.

Thanks Bob, specialized tools sure make a job easier as well as getting the end results looking nice.
I sure do miss those war surplus shops.
