Check out the early iron (and hot rods) back-in-the-day in the hilly city of San Francisco.....
AND the clothes/ shoes/mannerisms/architectural style/and stuff that STILL remains the same from nearly 100 years ago. (They had people back then that didn't know how to park correctly...geesh!)
I swear.....I was looking for the Bullitt Mustang and that bad-A$$ black Dodge Charger to top the hill on a couple of scenes!! (See if you can pick out which streets I'm talk'in about)

Looks to me about 1948-9, that’s the latest models of cars I recognized. They did not show Lombard St. , I made sure I drove it when I was there years ago.
In those years all best dressed men wore fedoras, my dad never went out without one.
Incline parking with front wheels turned into the curb, almost a necessity with manual gear boxes.
Good find Sal.

Ah... I remember it well.
I'd say 46-47 because there were not enough post war cars. There would have been more if it were 48.

Looks like even the cameras in the 40s could give you that "roller coaster" type feel on the mean streets of SanFrancisco.
Officer- can you give me a discrption of the suspects?
victim- they were wearing suits and fedora hats.
Officer- you just described half the city.
victim-everyone is so well-dressed out here! The gas attendant cleaned my windshield with his tie!

Good eye, I was looking at the train car in the middle of the street.

I would like to see that box car try to catch some air over those SF road crests🤪

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
