Re: Who has a Hurst competetion/plus shifter in their Mustang?

I was at the same spot you are Billy, about 18 years ago and I went with the Hurst shifter. The shifter a good one and it is still working well.
I still have the original shifter stored away and will probably rebuild it eventually.
In hindsight, rebuilding the original shifter is probably a pretty good way to go as it keeps originality.

I am gonna rebuild the shifter then the trans I have a local guy that really knows his stuff. Then if I dont like it I will have a really nice set up to sell and put a T5 or auto in. At the moment I would need to get a t5 and everything to put it in with including possibly the 5 speed pedals and clutch cable kit . All that was in my wrecked car but so far everything appears to be trashed....my front driver side tire got pushed back and shoved the shock tower, steering box and master cylinder ito the firewall and pushed the floorboard up to the pedals and the dash....A lot harder lick than I realized I am so lucky t be able to type this.

Re: Who has a Hurst competetion/plus shifter in their Mustang?

I have more photos and a few videos of the car but don't have a clue how to post them.... so aggravating not being able to post pics and stuff. we would have a lot more participation if it was not such a chore.

Re: Who has a Hurst competetion/plus shifter in their Mustang?

Am enjoying following this thread and am interest to see how things go. I still remember how cool it felt to pull up on the reverse lockout and pull it left and down to go in reverse.
