Two speed wiper switch connector

Does anyone have a picture of the wire colors and location on the plug to the wiper switch? I have a picture of the single speed motor switch attached but I need to see the connections and colors of the wires for the two speed. The wiring diagrams don't show the actual connections

Re: Two speed wiper switch connector

I'm not clear on the issue you're having, the connector should only fit on the switch only one way.
Are you trying to use the single-speed switch with a 2-speed motor?
What year is your car?

Re: Two speed wiper switch connector

I am working on a friends 66 with two speed wipers (going to put in intermittents), the POV removed his wiper motor plug wires from the connector. I can plug them back in but I don't know which color wire goes to which terminal. He found a new wiper pigtail he could buy but it's $75.00. As you might guess all of the older cars in the junk yards are gone, the wiper connector is the same but I think Ford changed the wire colors. Didn't really want to wait till spring when the swap meets start. The plug in the picture is from my old 1 speed wiper motor but if I had a picture like that for the 2 speed connections I'd be in business.
Edit: The wiring diagrams show the wiring colors and we have located all the wires just need to know where to put them

Re: Two speed wiper switch connector

This may be a rare case when the previous owner actually did you a favor. As the story goes the engineer that designed the 2 speed wipers for the 66 Mustang stopped on his way to work and ate some special mushrooms. Waaaaay over complicated the system. The wiper motor goes forward then reverses to make the wipers go back and forth. Most wiper motors just spin in one direction. Then there is a park system wired in. The best way to do this mod is to use a 2 speed motor from a late 60 or 70's car/truck. Buy a delay wiper from a 70's something F-100 or similar, there are specifics posted on this site. I used to have better info but lost it when old computer crashed, others will chime in.
If you want pics and no one else responds, give me an e-mail and I will send them. I quit fighting the pics on here. If you want the actual original wiper harness, give me an address and I will be happy to send you mine.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Triton - It may not have the specific details you need, but I can send a copy of the single and 2-speed wiper motor schmatic taken from the 66 Shop Manual, send me a PM with your email and I'll forward along.

Re: Two speed wiper switch connector

BobE, I have the wiring diagrams but they don't tell me the exact location of what colored wire goes where on the plug!

I have the schmatic that shows wire colors and the two-speed switch.  This is from the Ford "1966 Comet, Fairlane, Falcon & Mustang Shop Manual".  The schmatic that indicates the two speed wiper switch, also indicates that it is for the Falcon & Failane.  However, I would believe the switch is the same as used in the Mustang.
If you want a copy, send me your email.
