65-66 original GT question

What was stock sway bar diameter on a 65-66 V8 Mustang?

What was stock front sway bar size on a 65-66 GT?

Re: 65-66 original GT question

1" on a Shelby.
Special Handling Package on a GT was a 13/16 bar.
I think standard was 3/4.

Re: 65-66 original GT question

Thanks, Barry. That is how I remembered it. Just checking.

I could not remember for certain. It has been over twenty years since my car had any original parts on it.

I am going to go look at a 66 GT coupe to buy and want to have all my verification facts straight.

I purchased the handling package when I bought mine.  I believe it was 13/16".  Otherwise, 3/4".  Definitely, not 1" as I had to purchase that one.
