    Flywheel Questions

    Im looking at new flywheels and I noticed some say for 2 piece rear main seal and others for 1 piece.  
    I thought if they were the correct balance balance and tooth # thats all that mattered?

    2 piece seal engines are 28oz 1 piece engines are 50oz

    But it does not matter to the flywheel. It will fit either crank and has nothing to do with the rear main seal. 

    Just be sure to match zero, 28 or 50 ounce to your crank, and get correct tooth count, and correct bolt pattern for the size clutch you want to use.

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    Its worth noting that a lot of strokers are balanced at 28oz. even though they are typically based on the 5.0, which was 50oz and used a 1 piece RMS.  MS is correct, the flywheel doesn't care, just make sure to match the balance weight to the application.
