In a pinch, that old CPAP air supply hose makes a great media pickup tube for your beadblast cabinet. My original hose kept collapsing, blocking the sand.
I had a CPAP hose ready to be discarded. It fit the gun and pickup steel tube perfectly. I used the blaster today. It did not clog one single time and the hose was 100% more flexible than the original. I don’t know how long it will last with all that sand going through it, but it sure works well! And free!

As always I applaud your ingenuity. I just got a replacement machine because my Phillips was recalled. Hey whats your favorite mask- one that just covers the nose, nose and mouth, or pillow pad? I haven't tried a pillow pad yet.

I've got a couple of old hoses in the garage - now if I just had a blaster cabinet....I have a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset machine - the recall doesn't apply to my machine. I have used a nasal mask since 1995. Never had a problem, and I don't use a humidifier either.

My machine has over 400,000 hours on it and the humidifier looks like something out of a Frankenstein laboratory. I no longer use it, since I lost so much weight.

400,000 hours wow, that’s really an old one.

400000 hours on a CPAP machine at 8 hours a night equals 137 years. Boy, you have had that one a long time.

Maybe it was 40,000 hours. I haven’t used it in a while so haven’t got that hour meter burned into my brain any more. I figured SOMEBODY would do the math on that.
At least it supplied parts so I could tix my Mustang parts. It is amazing how a beadblaster can make old rusty stuff new again. Give me another 400,000 hours to work on it and maybe I can get the 69 finished.

Does anyone know what CPAP REALLY stands for?

Mine said it was continuous positive airway pressure.

I still use mine. And it is a pain. The pain list is long, but I must use it or stagger around after a couple of days. I'm hoping to get rid of it some day!

It can end up being a Gordians Knot of hoses when your partner is also wearing one.😱
